Warehouse / Technical Service position

THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED.   

Due to internal staff movement and continued growth, Dirt Works Australia has a full-time position available in our Sydney based Distribution Centre.

Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm.

Location:

Dirt Works Australia is located in scenic Blacktown in Sydney's western suburbs.

10+ mins by bike from the M4.

10 mins by bike from the M7.

10 mins walking from the train station.

Dirt Works encourages cycle commuting and has showers, bicycle storage and a workshop on premises.

Job Responsibilities:

Accurately pick/pack and ship orders to customers

Service and or repair goods in the technical service area.

Learn and understand the software used in the Warehouse / Technical Services Department.

Gain and retain technical knowledge of core products.

Communicate technical information with others in a professional, efficient manner.

Use the Dirt Works catalogue and outside media as reference tools.

Function as a supportive member of the Warehouse and Service Department.

Attention to detail, ability to detect and resolve problems, excellent communication skills and low error rates in invoicing, packing and technical service areas are critical.

Act respectfully and considerately to fellow employees.

Contribute to other company projects as required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Warehouse experience (preferred) and technically minded. 

Bicycle shop experience and/or technical knowledge of bicycles and bicycle components.

Ability to work collaboratively.

Excellent telephone, spoken and written communication skills.

Good computer literacy.            

Ability to work within and meet deadlines.

Excellent attendance and work record.

Great attention to detail.

A desire to strive for efficiency and to work as part of a team to reach our goal of shipping all orders on time every day is needed.

Excellent attendance and timeliness are required along with self-motivation. Employees must be willing to occasionally work additional hours on peak days to get the job done - and still keep your sense of humour!

Job Responsibilities (operational): 
  • Efficiently receipt and process of all Warranties and Credits
  • Efficiently process all promotional invoices on suppliers
  • OH&S needs to be followed and adhered to
  • Ensure all Warranty claims on suppliers are processed monthly
  • Adding photo's to the SAP item master file, with dimensions
  • Assist in the purchase order functions as required

Duties (Day-to-day):

  • Receipt of all mail daily Unpacking of incoming goods as required Keep warehouse tidy
  • Check that all stock items have the correct image and all dimensional fields are filled.
  • Place purchase orders, count in stock, receipt goods against orders as required
  • Follow OH&S Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles
  • Work overtime as required Undertake further training as necessary
  • Other duties as required Return stock to corrct warehouse position Data entry as needed

Primary job responsibilities in the Shipping Department include carefully and accurately picking, packing and labelling our customers' orders in a timely and efficient manner. Employees must be alert to work flow and able to act independently to ensure all orders are completed efficiently. Attention to detail, ability to detect and resolve problems, excellent communication skills and low error rates in picking, packing and labelling are critical.

With continued growth, the approaching summer and a generally great season to date, Dirt Works Australia has a full-time position available for a Senior Sales Manager in our Sydney office.

Hours:
Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. It is anticipated that the role will comprise approximately 2 days per week in the office and three outside.

Strong situational awareness.
